Adding MIC Code in std QE01/02 code

Hi,

One quick question....

We are using T Code : QE01/02 for RR.

In the General Tab, we have Short Text for inspection characteristics for inspection characteristics against which we can record / change Results.

The user is interested in looking at MIC code instead of Short Text for inspection characteristics.The requirement is to add one more column with MIC code besides Short Text for inspection characteristics.

Is there any way out ?

Dear Ravi

This can be done through Table setting. You can see that option on the right hand side of your RR Screen table. If you do the as per your requirement every time you login you will get the same setting

I am in agreement with Gajesh statement. Using Info filds populated with MIC looks better solution

Hi,

The Problem now is to freeze this field to the second column position permanently.Every time I log out of the Screen; it goes to the Last cloumn.

Is modification in the Standard SAP Screen lay out required ? Will SAP support after we do these changes with Change Key Request with them.

I would recommend not to alter the QE01 screen with any developments.

Also my suggestion would be to add the MIC code in the short text as well. It will be a task to create a BDC and run the QS23 again if the mic is already uploaded. But still will be worth doing.

How abt using Info Field available in the MIC. Enter the MIC code in any of the info field. These fields are available in the RR screen also. My doing the table setting you can make the info field to come wherever required in the RR screen

Hi All,

Yes, we could use the Info Field / Description field but only if users are willing to make changes in the MIC Master Data.I am not sure about that ...

If we could develop Z transaction (ZQE01) which could add another column in the std T code QE01/02 and 03 and populate MIC Code from QPMK table in case MIC is assigned to the Lot, the problem is resolved.This would be one time development and we would not be requiring changing Master Data.

I am not sure if the approach is optimum and okay ?

Yes you have communicated it correctly.

What I got from your post is, You need to add one more Column in The RR Screen QE01 & QE02, correct.

I am looking to find out some solution to it.
