wrong URL link is being sent to users

Hi,

There are workitems in user's inbox. An external notification mail is sent to user via a scheduled report.

These notification mail contains a URL link to log in SAP system. This URL link is old. Is it is possible to change an existing url in an email sent to user? If its not possible what workaround can be provided so that user gets the correct url to log in??

How your sending this using the program RSWUWFML2 or Extended Notification ? Can you tell.

Hi Surjith,

It is sent through the report RSWUWFML2.

I found the text through tcode SE61 that is being sent through mail. I changed the URL link to correct link.

Will you please answer my below question.

2) How can I resend the mail for the workitems for which mail has already been send once??

If you execute the Program RSWUWFML2

You can see From work item creation date & From work item creation time in the Block "Data for an Individual Run (Time Stamp Not Set)"

There give that date & Time ( Date from which you want to resend the workitem) and execute it.

Before that confirm whether it sending the New URL.

Hi,

If I understood your requirement correctly, you already sent mails with an old URL link and now the link is changed so that you want to update the users with the new URL link.

Instead of resending witems after correcting the link, have you thought about creating an alias or redirecting the users to the new URL link (page) even when they click on the old URL link ?

That way, the users don't even need to be receiving again the whole mails etc., they wouldn't even know that the URL is changed.

I don't know if my suggestion is feasible for you. Pl check with your Basis team.

The sent Mail you can't change. Change the new URL in the Program and send the mail again which having the new URL.
