    Hi,

    When we integrate Portal in the R/3 and SAP CRM

    It is ABAP+J2EE installation, UME will be ABAP and so users are maintained in both portal and ABAP. If SSO is configured with Logon tickets, all R3 users can access portal using R/3 password itself.

    Enterprise Portal can be integrated with the R/3 and SAP CRM while using System Object (Alias).

    Steps we have to follow to connect to a backend system in Enterprise Portal

    1) Login to Portal with user id having Super Admin role

    2) create System Object >System Administration > System Configuration >System Landscape > portal Content >create a folder > right click select >new > System (for template) > select the radio button SAP system using dedicated application server > provide the System object name as you feel. Like

    System Name: XXX

    System ID: XXX

    And click next-->next button. Property Editor will open. Under this.

    3) Property Category > Connector >in this you have to provide to which System (R/3, SAP_CRM, and SAP_BW) you are connecting.

    4) Property Category--> User Management

    5) Property Category-->ITS

    6) Property Category-->Web AS

    By this way you can connect to the R/3 or SAP_CRM System.
