netweaver support packs

Hi,

we have installed netweaver 2004s sucessfully ,

we have requirement on hr,mm,fico,sd, these modules are not their in netweaver 2004s.

can i load suportpacks of hr,mm,sd,fico and use the functionalities of these modules.

im new to the sap netweaver.

kindly assist me

What did you install?...(meaning components), SAP Netweaver is a Platform.

Those modules are standard in ECC.

These Modules are part of ECC not netwaever

I think you have a concept problem.... ECC stands for Enterprise Central Component and its indeed part of the Netweaver platform.

Don't get that question... how is an engine part of a car?.... ECC is the central components of Netweaver.

There's lots of information available about the Architecture of a SAP system.

And Netweaver2004s contains which version of ECC?

2004s is now known as Netweaver 7 and uses ECC 6.0

John,

If I understand your question correctly, I think what you are looking for will be found in the following:

Login to your system via SAP GUI.

From the top menu bar, click on System, then Status.

There you will see a tab named u201CSAP System datau201D

This will tell you the version installed and running.

From there, click on the magnifying glass below the version.

This will tell you the components installed.

There are other ways, but you repeat that you are new to NetWeaver so Iu2019m hoping this will provide the basic information you are looking for here.

Juan is right. Sap Netwaver is a platform, and ECC is a component which comes under this platform. There are so many Component comes under this Platform such as ECC, XI,BI, EP

1. ECC is a Component so you can install ECC , and all the Modules comes under this ECC component.

your system does not have those modules.....then how come you wil apply support packages...

Install ECC.

These Modules are part of ECC not netwaever. You have to install the ECC for these function modules.

First of all you need to go with the Ecc installation and for HR related system you should perform the following steps.

Activate the Switch in transaction SFW5 ,so that P and H forms can be activated.This is only done after the recomendation of client.
