Hi All,
One of our clients wants to upgrade the crm system from version 7.0 to version 7.0 ehp4. Its a technical upgrade. I was asked to analyse the current system to give the proposal and time frame for the same. I am a functional consultant and new to an upgrade project, so do not know how to proceed.
1. How to proceed further to analyse the current system before upgrade?
2. What are the key points to be considered in system analysis? Is there any template/questionnaire/document that explains the same?
3. How to analyse the man hours required for the technical upgrade?
Kindly help me with your inputs and experience.

It describes some of the necessary activities after an upgrade as well as some of the changes that might effect your custom development. The question how many man hours are required for an upgrade from my experience largely depends on the amount of custom development in the system. For example, the more UI components are enhanced the more afford is required during the adaptation of the component enhancements.

Thank you very much for your response. The master guide provides information about the implementation/upgrade process in detail. But I am looking for how to analyse the present system before upgrading as mentioned in my first post.
