Former Member

Hello,

Usually when you display the Business System in Integration Directory, there you have the buttons to insert Inboud or Outboud Interfaces using Receiver or Sender tabs.

These buttons are not present, when I display the Business System. I am using PI 7.1.

Is there any thing I have to perform or do something.

Thanks in advence for you help.

Thanks,

Namadev

That is only in the case of Business Services. Not for Business systems. For Business systems the list populates based on the swc assignment in the SLD to the technical system of that business system.

Thank you guys

You suggestions helped me to look at the issue from different angles.

the issue might be due to Cache, I gave a complete cache refresh to PI, and now I can see the IDoc in the Sender tab.

I appreciate your valuable help and time.

Thanks again,

Namadev

For the Business System in the ID, Inbound and outbound interfaces will be populated when you use corresponding business system in the receiver determiantion as sender or receiver and will do all other configurartion objects like Interface determination, receiver agreement etc.

For example- If you have a business system B1. If you will create a receiver determination using B1 as sender and MI1 as sender interface and create all required configuration objects.

After activating all those objects if you will go to B1, you will see MI1 in the sender interfaces of the B1.

Same if you will use B1 as receiver, then corresponding message interface will b in receiver interfaces.

What if you are a doing a Business System -> Business Component Scenario, or Vice Versa?

Here is more info:

I am expecting the send the Orders from ABC system 140 cleint (Basically IDoc to file scenario).

I created the Technical System ABC in SLD. I added software producnt SAP ECC 6.0, and selecting all of its Software Componenets. I created a Buisness System BS_ABC140 on this Technical System, and aslo chek marked the Installed software SAP ECC 6.0. It shows all the software component available there.

In the Enterprise Service Builder, I have imported the ORDERS05 IDoc.

Next I imported the Business System BS_ABC140 in Integration Directory.

When I double click the Busienss system, I can see the Receiver & Sender tabs.

I have to assign this ORDERS05 IDoc under Sender tab as an Outbound Interface.

Now is the problem: I cannot see the Insert icon (as well Delete icon) there, basically to assign the IDoc to this system. Why there is no + button to assign the IDocs or - button to delete existing entry.

I hope this will very well explains the process.

I could have inserted the screenshot, but could not see how to do that.

Let me know if you have any help to do additional steps.

Thanks,

Namadev

Did you ever figure out how to do this?

Hey Mike,

I am still looking for any help after my last reply. I may raise a customer message to SAP, later if I am not able to resolve it.

Thanks,

Even if you raise SAP message, it will reply with what Vijayshankar and Manisha have replied.

You cannot add interfaces manually for a Business system not just for 7.1 for even 7.0

The difference in 7.1 you cannot see the disable open file icon which you can see 7.0.

Try doing Cache refresh, check if you are providing correct sets of interfaces while creating the scenario

Try with configuration scenario wizard

if you are using Business systems on sender and receiver sides, please configure a scenario ESR and configure in ID of IB.

FYI, in 7.1, you can manually add interfaces for Business Component ( Business service in 7.0).

Venkat.

Hi Venkat,

I appreciate your help. Let me clarify whether I have expressed what i am looking for.

I am intended to create a scenario, to send an ORDERS05 IDoc to PI, and PI will convert that IDoc to a file on the FTP server. As we know we do not need Sender Communication channel in this case.

I will not repeat other items/steps as I have already mentioned them in my earlier reply.

Let me continue from the point of creating Receiver Determination. When hit New on Receiver Determination, I select my Communication Component (BS_ABC140), then try to select Interface.

The pop-up will appear, and there is no ORDERS05 IDoc. Without providing the Interface, I cannot proceed further. I aborted the process.

This is where I have landed to ask for help.

Let me know, if I need to provide more information.

Thanks,

Namadev,

I understand this earlier.

The value list comprises of message interface list is picked from from Sender tab of Business System, which manually cannot be added for Business system.

You can check if ORDERS IDOC is available in the sender tab of Business system. in the value list while creating Receiver determination, check what business system and what category it shows in there. Try with * business system in search criteria.

have you tried with creating a scenario in ESRepository and assign your Business systems in the configuration wizard in ID?

Check if the Adapter specific identifiers of Communication component are pointing to correct LS.

You are doing scenario ORDERS--(idoc)to File. first import the IDOC from R/3 then it will add automatically in Bussiness System .
