Sales Quantity Contract at Material Group Level

Dear all,

I want to create a SALES Quantity Contract on Material group level or for a generic material (non stock item) that will be assigned somehow to real final materials (stock items). So the sales quantity contract will be created for a generic material but the release order will be created for the relevant final materials.

Is there a relevant functionality in SD?

What is the business need to have this requirement? As each and every material would be having different pricing, different delivery priority, different plants I believe, it is not a Best Practice to go with even customization.
