AC 5.3 JCo Destination creation error.

Hi All,

I am getting the following error, during the JCo Destination creation. (When I click on test)

com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to message server host failed Connect_PM TYPE=B MSHOST=sap1 GROUP=ECC R3NAME=DEV MSSERV=sapmsDEV PCS=1 ERROR service 'sapmsDEV' unknown TIME Wed May 20 06:42:58 200 RELEASE 700 COMPONENT NI (network interface) VERSION 38 RC -3 MODULE niuxi.c LINE 1732 DETAIL NiPGetServByName2: service 'sapmsDEV' not found SYSTEM CALL getservbyname_r COUNTER 1

Any clues ??

    Have you added the message server entry in the services file in the etc directory.

    Hi Raj,

    First of all tell me your SLD is running ok or not.

    To check this just click on Check SLD connection.

    Then Under Maitain Jco Destination which JCO name you have choosen?

    And what are the imput you have given in that Jco connection.

    Like which Client,Message server name from drop down list, logon group,webuser and it's password etc etc.

    Please tell me the imputs you have given here.

    Jus add the entry like this in the services file in the etc directory./etc/services in case of unix

    sapms<sid> 3600/tcp # SAP System Messaging Service Port

    Jus add the above entry the jco error would go off .
