Periodic asset posting

Hi experts

During periodic asset posting askb, I get an error : AA738

u201CNo valid number range xx has not been created for document type yy.u201D

Document type is, number range is created to document type.

I donu2019t know, where is problem?

Component version SAP ECC 6.0

In Asset accounting you assign the document type to use for periodical postings

TC spro

Financial Accounting / Asset Accounting / Integration with the General Ledger / Post APC Values Periodically to the General Ledger / Specify Document Type for Periodic Posting of Asset Values.

In all systems I have seen the use the standard document type AA and not YY

In TC OBA7 you can see the assigned number range to the document type

In TC FBN1 you can create the number range, for asset accounting it is an internal number range in ECC 6

I know, that problem is very clearly.

I've written, that I assigned range number to type document for 2009 year. I've used not YY type( I've written variable),but AS. My type document is used for periodic asset posting and generally for asset posting. AA for posting depreciation

TC OBA7 - ok

TC FBN1 - ok

Hi

This problem was solved. My company code had closed year 2009 accidentally and therefore were so error massage. System looked for documents for 2010 and couldn't find.

please read the text of the error message. It very clearly states the problem and what you must do to fix it. It is telling you that there is no number range defined... which means... that maybe... you should consider... just maybe... defining a number range!
