Dear gurus,
I am using PI7.1, when I access to the menu Cache status overview of Integration Builder, it shows one row of Central Adapter Engine with status "Cache update not yet started". Please give me the instruction to start the cache update of the Central Adapter Engine.
Thanks in advance,
Thien Duong
Hi Thien Duong
Check the CPA Cache service in the Netweaver Administrator (com.sap.aii.af.cpa.svc). Ensure that the cacheType parameter is set to the default value of "DIRECTORY" and not the custom value of "PCK".
If the custom value PCK is set, change this back to DIRECTORY and restart the CPA Cache service.

Hello
Try applying the SAP notes:
1) 1278563 Specification of message server host in Exchange Profile
2) 764176 Error in XI due to inconsistent SLD contents
These have solved many cache related issues in PI 7.10.

Mark

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your reply, but although everything in the two notes is correct in my system, the problem still happens. When i perform the Cache Connectivity Test in RWB, the Central Adapter Engine show the warning: boldAttempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory not yet started or still in processbold.
I want to ask something more: when i run the /CPACache/refresh?mode=full, it shows the error: "The WebApplicationException log ID is [00237DECF4C200410000009600000FE025BEDE2AB5E52093].", is there any note to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot,
Thien Duong
Hi
Follow the below steps which helps in cache refresh.Check with the second step which i mentioned below i think the problem might be with your RFC destination.
-->In ID fro MENU->TOOLS->Click on Cache Notifications ans see the status if the cache is not updated.
then goto T-code SXI_CACHE and do the Full cache and Delta cache refresh.
-->Also check the RFC destination of type H in your PI system INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI is working or not if not check the path prefix and your technical settings and logon security.
>Also do the cache refresh from PI home page ADMINISTRATION>CACHE OVERVIEW ,Do the cache refresh for IR ,ID and RWB.
Thanks
