Packed quantity (HUMV4-QUANTITY) shows decimals for HUs w/ varying weights

We have make to order rolls of paper that are WM/HU managed (on 6.0). These rolls have a base unit of measure of LBS and a sales unit of measure of ROL. When the rolls are produced, one roll equals one HU and they each have a slightly different weight. This unique weight is captured in the HU weight (VEKP-BRGEW). When the HUs are picked via transfer order and assigned to the delivery, the Total Content tab in packing shows a packed quantity that is not a whole number. When a roll is unassigned (unpicked) this causes an issue with the delivery quantity once the packed quantity is copied to the delivery quantity.

For example, there is a quantity of 4 ROL for the delivery line item. The rolls weigh the following:

Roll 1 = 1001 LBS

Roll 2 = 1002 LBS

Roll 3 = 1003 LBS

Roll 4 = 1023 LBS

Total weight for all 4 rolls is 4029 LBS

The packed quantity (HUMV4-QUANTITY) for the rolls shows .994, .995, .996 and 1.016, respectively. These fractions are calculated by taking the conversion factors of 4 ROL (UMVKN) to 4029 LBS (UMVKZ) to get an average roll of 1007.25 (4029 divided by 4)

Roll 1: 1001 / 1007.25 = .994

Roll 2: 1002 / 1007.25 = .995

Roll 3: 1003 / 1007.25 = .996

Roll 4 : 1023 / 1007.25 = 1.016

The problem is if we unassign the first roll in packing, the total packed quantity (and subsequently the delivery quantity) would change to 3.006 ROL (4-.994) which is incorrect - it should be 3.000 ROL as there are 3 handling units assigned.

How can we get the packed quantity to reflect '1' for each ROL for HUs with variable weights when the base unit of measure is different than the sales unit of measure?

Thanks

Diana
