I have deployed several Crystal Reports onto Crystal Reports Server 2008. When I try to view these reports from Infoview or CMC I get an error: "The database logon for this report is either incomplete or incorrect."
The reports are set up to use a ODBC connection using SQL native client driver. The database is SQL Server 2005 which resides on a different server. Do I need to configure the database (SQL) server in CMC??
The reports do run on the server by refreshing them from Crystal reports. Since the reports use a SQL database on a different server, do I need to configure some of the different servers (job, report, etc) to support this integration across servers?

From Business Objects Enterprise perspective I would Try adding "-trace" in the command line of CMS and Page server. Start services and then try to run report again. See if it gives any meaningfull error message in the trace file. You view option must not be set to Advance DHTML else inthat case you have to set this in RAS server.
I have configured the Report Properties in the CMC under Database Configuration. I specified the ODBC driver the report uses and the correct server on which the database resides. I have also successfully tested the ODBC connection the report uses. I'm now getting the error: "Failed to Load Database Information."

Try CMC > report properties > processing, database. From here you can enter DB credentials. They are not auto sent to the server when you add a report unless using publishing wizard or import wizard (from another system where the report may have the same connection) You also must specify the client DB driver on the server (ODBC in the case of SQL).
