Hi all,
In my scenario , i got seven grade of packed finished goods.it can be extended to many number in future.
Each grade of packed finished good containes mixing proportion of NP fertilizer and Phosphate rock to obtaine the required grade.
its only mixing operation manually done.
here with out going for multiple receipe ,hw can i simplify the process with single receipe in standard SAP .
thanks

hi Suresh,
For the scenario explained by you, u need to work with Material Quantity calculation where u can use the BOM items quantity for doing the final calculation.
First of all go through the help doc in PP-PI where u will get docs for MQC.
You will also get the scenarios matching with ur req. there.
let me know if not getting the solution.
Ritesh

Hi Suresh,
Create alternative BOMs and create different production versions and use these production versions in the process orders.

Hi Raj,
Here the alternate receipe making can be done...but in future the client requirment is like they may go for more number of grades if so hw do i do.if i keep on making alternate receipe.
Do our STD SAP PP module have any other option to make receipe with varying ratio of bom items.

You have a problem, but it's not clear if you are trying to resolve a) how to provide this "Mix of ingredients" or b) what's the best way to distinguish the final product for the customer (related to the ingredient mix, but not the same thing- right?).
What you (your customer) really needs is important to determine the best way to resolve the problem.
Material Quantity Calculation involves a lot of detail, but there is also a lot of master data involved with the multiple Production Versions you will need to generate for every 'official' mix of this 'product' - if it's ever determined how many they want to make.
Help the client get to a decision on that. If they TRULY want a sliding scale of mix on the ingredients - that can be addressed. However, if they really have six mix strengths today and fear there may be six more in the near future - and are afraid of maintaining 12 production versions - then it's good to work a bit to understand the specifics of why 12 production versions is a problem when it is clearly what is being ordered by their customers . . . does that make sense?
I don't think 12 PVs is too much - and it's more straight forward than many of the alternative solutions.
I know this isn't an answer, but if I'm understanding your problem, you aren't ready for an answer yet - get a better problem to work first.
