Profit Center issue in ECC6.0

Hi All,

We are using ECC6.0 with document split active. There the business area, profit center and profit segment is marked for mandatory fields.

Last year it was not in activation, some of the documents posted without profit center (Business area maintained). This is causing error for clearing.

If i remove the check box for profit center and segment the docs will clear. But before that i want to know what is the effect in the system?

or how to enter the profit center in those documents? (now it showing blank and grayed in fb02).

Please give me the helpful inputs asap.

Regards,

Soma

    Hi,

All the postings made to a cost element are transferred to Profit Center Accounting. If it does not find a profit center, the system posts the data to a dummy profit center to ensure that the profit‑relevant data is complete in Profit Center Accounting.

Hence we need to run assessment cycle, may be, if we want to reallocate these documents posted to the required Profit centre.

    Thanks and regards,

    Priyajit.
