Hi Murali,

The Rows and Coloumns option is not working. Still the exception is active on the result rows. Thanks For your reply.

Hi,

Please do the following....

Open the Exception->Edit->Cell Restrictions tab->Select "Exception Affects Everything" radio button->Define Cell Restrictions->New->Select the characteristic and set the operator as "Everything Except Totals"->Click Transfer and Save the Query and run it.

This will work perfectly fine.

Hello,

I have just tried the first method (tick exception affects char cells /rows and columns) and I did not succeed.

But trying the 2nd suggestion, on the cell restriction tab I cannot find anything except the 2 radio buttons (Exception affets everything & Exception only affets results), I don't know what you meant buy "new"...

Are you using 3.x??
