error while creating sales order

hi,

i have created customer master record (account group: sold to party ) with internal number range. In the sales area tab ,all partner functions i.e SH,SP,PY,BP displayed as 6.customer master record number 6 is saved.

but at the time of creation of sales order ,when i enter the number sold to party 6......system throws error message " no customer master record exists for sold to party 6".

i checked customer master data with xd02 with customer number 6. customer master record 6 existed .

but system showing error while creating sales order " no customer master record exists for sold to party 6".

i dont know what causing these error.

Please check whether the company code and sales area are same for which u have created SP and for which u r creating order.

more over i have combined common distribution channel and divisions.

i have only one sales organization .

Hi,

I think u have to do the following things right before reating customer master.

1.in img -u have to do the all sales area assignment corectly.

2.partner determination should be done with the sold to party mandatory.

3.In the account group creation u have to mention all the field correctly with the customer-sold to party

4.The last reason may be no. assignment should be done with

specified internal or external.

While creating a sales order , write down the customer number in prefix zeroes than 6 .

Actually now you are writing just 6 which will not be acceptable by System.

Kindly check the exact customer number in XD03 and then create the Sale Order.

We assign as per your Instruction But same issue we are facing while creating sales order.

check the sales area while creating the sales order . customer's sales area and sales order sales area should be the same.
