Warning message for PO quantity

Hi Gurus,

When we load a sales order and user does not enter a quantity, system is not giving a warning message, i had checked incompletion procedure and made warning as ticked. but still system is not giving a warning message when user does not enter quantity field in sales order.

When trying to save system is displaying document incomplete, missing data quantity, but users are not getting a warning message.

Please advise us gurus,

Hi,

I think in Sales and distribution under basic Function -> Log of incomplete Items u need to define and assign procedure.

Can you post how you solved this - with the techinal team?

I think i have the same issue: customising seems to be complete but the warning simply does not work. Oddly enough, it works for some fileds, say the plant, and not for Order Qty (VBAP-KWMENG).

Must be you have not maintained the Incompletion Procedure with the item category of the particular sales order.As the incompletion procedure has line items then it can only be assigned to Item Category.

Hello ,

Pl check the setting

1. Assign Incompleteness Procedures-->Assign procedures to the sales document types

2. Assign Incompleteness Procedures-->Assign procedures to the item categories

Tcode :VUP2

Assign Item procedure to item category.

Please check the settings for LOG for Incomplete items in production system.

Hi nathan,

Check your setting for incompletion log.

in the incompletion log setting, for incompletion group Sales-item, within this group select your incomletion procedure (Which you have assigned in item category setting VOV7).

check whether you have maintained following entries:

table :VBAP

field: KWMENG

screen no:PKAU

status: 04

warning is ticked

seq: 10

Thanks for reply, yes i have checked that and everything is as being stated, but i am still wondering why system is not giving any warning message even though warning message and all setting in incompleteness is o.k.

Iam still not getting where iam going wrong, please any one advise.
