CCM - Need Help on Support Package

Hello,

We are notified by our BASIS team that SAP Earlywatch report has recommended to upgrade CCM add-on support package from our current level 07 to 08 or above.

Can somebody advise me whether this recommendation can be implemented in our system (we are on CCM 2.0). And if yes, what shall we check after the installation? Many thanks!

I'd like to update you our status. My BASIS team checked the Notes you mentioned and our system. They said we are on Netweaver 04s but not SP Stack 17. Therefore they recommended to upgrade CCM to SP13 instead of 14.

Dear Elly,

the SP07 had major bugs inside, therefore for a certain time this patch was not available.

The dev. corrected this and created the note 1000825!

Please check, that your current SP07 is corrected or not!

The most current SP for CCM is CCM 2.0 SP14 on Netweaver 04s SP Stack 17.

Please follow the note 1292196 by your update.

Many thanks for your reply. I'll ask my BASIS team to check our current SP.

Two more questions:

- If we upgrade to higher version of SP, should we directly install the most current one, or some lower version is better?

- After installing the new SP, is there specific check/testing we should do?

Hi Elly,

You should install the most current Support Package, there is no need to install older ones, the latest package is stable/safe.

No specific testing is required once the package is installed, everything should function exactly as before.

Dear Elly,

you can go to the latest SP, due to all the necessary notes will be deployed during the installation.

So you don't have to upgrade one by one. One thing, your BASIS has to have the SAP NetWeaver 04s SP Stack 17 to implement the CCM 2.0 SP14.

Please follow the instruction from the note 1292196. There is all the needed steps are written.

You don't need any further step during upgrade.
