How do you guys come up with these suggestions? Is it documented by SAP ( guides or SAP notes ) or base on experience?

We schedule below mentioned DB related job based on experience.

2. Update statics ( Daily)

3. Delete Old Logs ( weekly)

4. Adapt next extent(weekly) ( if DB is dictionary managed)

5.Online Backup for Prod ( daily)

5. Archive logs ( daily ( every 4 hours), depends upon how many redo logs gets generated)

Check DB must be performed weekly preferably on the weekends when the load on the system is less

Verify DB must be performed when you take the full backup of database
