process messages from external systems

Hello,

Inorder to generate the process messages from external system, Do I need to do anything other than defining the process message categories in the control recipe?.

What needs to be done in the external system to generate the messages ?

Can anybody explain please

No special customizing if you use standard process message.

In transaction BAPI check the module function for creating process message (under Process Industry), CreateMultiple.......; after creating the message and executing, in the external system connected to SAP, the message will be collected in the pool (Tx CO54) to be sent to the process order.
