Hi Ravi

This can be achieved.. Check in oac0 for the Content Repository SOFFDB.. Go the change mode and add the details of the Content server. By default the SOFFDB files would be stored in the SAP database..

Thanks a lot Abi, just one more clarification on this, how to get to know that it is taking the same repository while we go for this option of GOS. (De-Bugging is the only way ???)

Ravi.

Hi Ravi,

ArchiveLink uses its own link tables for the management of documents. The document IDs

contained in the link tables represent the physical documents (PHIOs) in KPro. This means that

ArchiveLink directly and exclusively uses the KPro Content Management Service and its HTTP

content server functions.

Hello Ravi ,

Though its not a good practice to push the documents thru GOS , we should make sure that we are pushing atleast to KPRO - Content server .

Scenario's could be used: Attaching QM documents to Inspection characteristics - as we dont have direct Object link in DMS .

Steps to follow

Go to OACT and change the office repository to your content repository

Select SOFFHTTP - HTTP content server For SAP Office

Go to SKPR08, add your content repository for office applications

Choose SOFFPHIO - add under new category

You need to do more settings if you dont found SPFFPHIO . Let me know

Hi Muralidharan,

Thanks for your valuable response. I just have some more things to clarify.

1. In SKPR08, I am not able to create any class of my own, and now to which class should i assign the definied content repository to: as i am not able to find

In SKPR08, i am only able to see.

/SAPSLL/P2 LLS_CAT Physical Class: Legal Services

/SAPSLL/PH LLS_CAT

ASAPGENSRC ASAP Multimedia Object (Source) ASAP

ASAPTXTDST ASAP Text in Display Format ASAP

ASAPTXTSRC ASAP Source Topic ASAP

BW_PH_MAST BW_MAST BW: Physical Class Master Data

BW_PH_TRAN BDS_DB10 BW: Physical Class Transaction Data

SOLARGNSRC SOLAR01 Multimedia object (source)

So kindly suggest me how to configure on this SKPR08.

That will be really thankful.

Ravi

Ravi,

Can you please tell me why I cannot save changes to the SOFFDB content repository. (It's not a security issue in our sandbox and I am in change-mode.) It always switches back to the Storage Type of SAP Database. I have KPRO.

Thank you,

Samantha
