Hello Expert,
We have currently installed CARAB 2.0 SPS02 standalone on HANA DB.
We need to activate PMR (SAP Promotion management for retail)component. Can you please let me know how to activate that?
Is there any licensing involved for that or I we can activate from switch framework by activating some business function..
Thanks in advance.

Shraman

Hi Shraman,
As per my understanding R80 should consist of all the relevant DDF related config including DRFOUT specific settings. You can also use the below link for more details about DRFOUT,however this talks integration between ERP and DDF(CAR).Also try using your S-user id to search for more ifnormation as you have S/4HANA system which may require some additional setup procedure.
Thanks,
Aram.

Hi Shraman,
You need to have the master data in place to create PMR offers for which the source is DRFOUT(Master data transfer framework that helps to bring the below information into CAR
1.Products
2.Location
3.Product Locations
4.Distribution chain
5.Source of Supply
6.Product Hierarchies
7.Location Hierarchies
Once you have the master data, you can start creating PMR offer(s) and send it to ECC(I hope you have activated all the business functions in ECC as stated in my earlier post).
NOTE : DRFOUT and SLT are two different methodologies to transfer data from SAP ECC(Often you may end up transferring few set of same tables via both these methodologies/tools into CAR)however they both need to co-exist if you are planning to use POSDTA and DDF/UDF in parallel
Thanks,
Aram.

Hi Shraman,
You have to activate the below business functions(in ECC) for integration with SAP ERP, depending on the business requirement/scope.
ISR_APPL_POS_INTEG Retail, POS Integration with IDoc Size Control ISR_RETAIL_POS_INTEG Retail POS Integration ISR_RETAIL_PROMO Retail, Import of Promotional, Data and Functional Enhancements ISR_RETAIL_BONUS BUY Retail, Bonus Buy with New User Interface ISR_RETAIL_OFR_INTG_SFWS Retail, Offer Integration ISR_APPL_OUTBOUND_DMF Retail, Export of Data to Promotion Management ISR_RETAIL_OUTBOUND_DMF Retail, Export of Retail-Specific Data to Promotion ManagementAlso if you are planning to enable DDF/UDF, the below business functions are required to be activated in CAR
/DMF/DDF_IMDB_LANE_TD - Decompression of Lane Price and Time Dependent data
/DMF/DDF_UDF - Activation of Unified Demand Forecast(UDF)
/DMF/DDF_FORECAST - Activation of Forecast Engine
You can use Transaction SFW5 to check the list of business functions available in your respective system.
You may need to consider the sizing aspect of CAR as well, as you may be replicating data into CAR using DRFOUT for DDF data and also replication of master data, inventory and sales documents data using SLT into CAR.
Thanks,
Aram.

Thanks Aram.
In our current landscape, we have S4 HANA 1709 as Source System & CARAB 2.0 with PMR as consuming application as target system. we are using SLT to transfer data from S4 to CAR. In CAR, all POSDTA configuration is also done & we can process data coming from S4 to CAR as well as POS to CAR. Inventory is also updating accordingly from CAR to S4 system through IDoc.
Now for PMR to use, is this mandatory to have DDF (DRF Out) configuration in place in CAR system?
Basically we wants to create some offer in PMR (Using Fiori App) & replicate the same to S4 system.
Also in PMR Fiori app (Manage Promotional offer), Location Hierarchy Nodes are not populated properly.
Can you please guide.
Thanks in advance.

Shraman
