Dear Expert,
I have problem here in running MRP. Some of the materials were not automatically running MRP. While when I tried to run it manually using MD01 it works.
May be u can give me some idea why? When I tried to check the setting, i found in the table all the materials with complete status KCVDLSBGZXA are not automatically running MRP.
Is it because of that complete status setting? if yes where could i found that setting ?
Thanks
Pauline
Pauline,
A material would be picked up for MRP run, based on the whehter a planning file entry exist for the material in planning file entry and also based on the user exit key value(If user exit is used for selection of materails for MRP).
Please check whether the variants you used for running MD01 in foreground and background are same. I would appericiate if you could explain what you meant by automatic MRP run, i assume you are meaning the MRP run in background.

Dear all,
Thanks u guys answer. I appreciate it so much.
I have checked some conditions for materials:
- MRP for plant is active
- no planning file entry exist
- MRP type : PD
- min stock is defined
Is it because of the planning file entry is not exist therefore the automatic MRP run is not work for some materials?
I have checked the variants used for running MD01 in foreground and background are same.
anything i miss out? please advice..
Hi Pauline,
Is it because of the planning file entry is not exist therefore the automatic MRP
run is not work for some materials?
Now you know the problem, that is Planning File entry is not maintain for those materials. Now only
solution is ,maintain it either by using MD20 or by using scheduled job OMD0.

Dhaval
Paulin,
I hope you are not running MRP first time for all this material.....?
You must be using
Net change planning (NETCH) or Net change planning in the planning horizon (NETPL)
The system only plans materials that have undergone a change relevant to MRP since the last planning run.
Planning file entry does not exist means there are no MRP relevant changes for the materials.
please check have you done changes after the previous MRP Run......?
also check what is the difference in material existing in planning file as well as material missing in the list.
Regards

Dear,
some of materials are new. means first time running MRP. what happen with this why these new materials cannot run automatically?
we always maintain NETCH when we run the material using MD01 / MD02.
why all the materials that could not run automatically , we can run it by using MD02 ( manual) ?
some of materials which have no planning file entry , still can run MRP automatically.
some of materials which have no planning file entry, could not run MRP automatically.
Ritesh Dube,
thanks for the reply
can u explain to me in more detail what do u mean by the relevant changes?
Paulin,
MRP relevant changes can be new procrument proposel, changes done in MRP view of material, changes in qunatity for re-order planning relevant materials etc.
MRP will not done untill and unless you have entry of materials in planning files.
i am not agree with you on the point that auto MRP is running for the material for which there is no planning file entry.
another things is please , provide details of material master like MRP type etc for the material for which planning file entry is there but MRP is not considering it.
another question is , what result you are expecting after MRP run ....? i mean how you come to a conclusion that MRP is not run for few of the materils but its done sucessfully for other materials ......?
please check it again and reply.
Regards
Hi Pauline,
1.In OMDU,Check MRP activate indicator for your plant
2.Check whether planning file entry exist or not for that material.
3.If planning file entry does not exist, you need to maintain it in MD20.
Check it & revert back.
Hope this help you.

Raja.
