Inspection lot creation

Hi All,

The company that I'm working currently using WM module and once the QM module is implemented, for the inspection process materials are transferred in the Roll form (storage unit). Is there a possibility to create inspection lots based on the storage unit (Roll form)?

What is your stock keeping unit and purchase unit? Pls explain your reqmnt in detail.

Hi,

the stock keeping unit is Roll and the purchasing unit sometimes use Meters(M) and in some PO's use Yards (YD).

basically i want to create inspection lot for the fabric Rolls, at the time fabric Rolls are transferred from the WM system. I'm in the system design stage and really stuck with this issue.....

yes exactly... we maintain the stock in Roll form. also in the WM they store 100 yds = 1 Roll

Hi,

As you mentioned that base unit of measurement is Rol, so pls mentain alternate unit of measurement like 100meter = 1 Roll or 100Yd= 1Rol,

System create inspection lot in terms of the base unit of measurement.(Rol)

Hi,

For GR/Stock transfer you need to maintain inspection type 01 & 08 in the material master QM views.

After that when ever you do the business transaction system will give you the inspection lot in term os Rol only.

Pls describe the issue in detail not is pieces.
