Complete Database Recovery on new server

Hi Support Team,

My Production system is running on ECC 6.0,Windows 2003 server and SAPDB 7.6 from last 1 year.Now i need to run a test scenerio of restoration of complete database of Production to new blank installed SAP System ECC 6.0 with the same OS, Maxdb but different configuration memory Size.

Can some one let me know the procedure for restoring the data, ihave the following system

Details Production server New Server

SID AP1 AT1

System Number 03 01

Please guide me, is it possible to restore the Data on new server with different SID and system number,

if yes, please guide me.

I have a complete backup taken from DB13.

Fire up sapinst, install a system using the "system copy" entry in sapinst and select the "backup/restore" radiobutton.
