standard value key- labor cost

Hi,

Standard value key in my work centre has two parameters: machine and labor.

My client says if a work centre is a lathe machine and one worker works and one supervisor works, their wages are different.how to capture overall/individual cost labor cost.

sometimes one worker and one engineer , one supervisor and one senior labor works on one work centre(this work centre may be group of machines), in these cases how to capture labor cost individually . Do I need to increase the parameters in standard value key. but i can have only maximum 6 parameters. How about if I have more parametrs to be captured in the way I explained above.

Regards.

Hi,

Yrs you have to configure additional standard value keys. For this preapare group by possible combinations based on past data.

More that six parameters can be achieved by the use of secondary resources in PP-PI; in discrete manufacturing I would suggest the use of parallel sequences with operations pointing to the proper WC and activities....

I would create a WC1 (main) which includes the worker and machine (as the worker is suppossed to be present for the machine to operate) and an additional WC2 (person), with another standard value key :

Supervisor

Engineer

Senior worker

......

Every standard vaule key will have an activity with different rates....(Check Cost Center in WC)

The parallel sequence and the operation will point to the WC2 and you will be able to enter the time of each level according to the actual time.

Instead if standard value for each level of labour, another easier is to obtain average rate and plan time spend on the machine. With this only 1 paramter required. This can be considered, if the accuracy of the actual cost for each level of labour is not main concern.
