SAP ECC6 on Windows 2008

Hi,

We are going to install Production server of SAP ECC6 on Windows 2008 using Database as MS SQL 2005, in the Cluster Enviroment (High Availability)

The point to discuss here is all our servers are on Windows 2003 including SAP Dev, Quality and Non SAP , ADS is also installed on 2003,

Is there any impact if we install PRD on Win 2008 and rest of the servers on Win 2003.

Thanks

Irfan.

    No technical implications.

      Hi Irfan

Do not install just Production server on Windows server 2008. SAP recommends entire landscape should be same and dont do testing on production system by installing on server Windows 2008. You can first do that on dev and qua and only later on Prd.

    Dear Irfan

There is no problem but your landscape will not be consistent.

For eg; If any error occured on PRD-OS level then it should be occured on DEV & QAS then you have time to addrss the problem and applying hotfixes instead of directly apply on PRD-OS.
