RFC connections back to solman have authorization errors

We have recently patched our systems and solman is now on EHP1. RFC connections back to solman from 46C and 47 systems are now failing due to an authorization error. The user is correct and is used by other systems(ERP 2005) without problems. Is there a compatibility problem between the systems? ST-A/PI and ST-PI have been patched to the latest level.

We imported stack 19 and the error resolved itself

Hi Chris, we had a similar problem and found that the passwords for the user on the RFC connections had been reset. Have you checked this?

Hi Clair, yes we have checked the passwords on the RFC's and they seem fine. Its strange it only seems to be the 46C and 47 systems.

Passwords in the newer systems are case-sensitive, I forget which release that started in. To make the password check backwards-compatible, make sure that it's no longer than 8 characters, and enter it as all caps.

Tried that as well. The systems have been connected to the solman system for years without a problem. It only seems to have happened since upgrading to solman EHP1.

Can you get the dump from ST22 on your SolMan system?

That might clarify things.
