Accessing different portal or SAP server only through this portal

Hi all,

I have a different requirement, I have multiple SAP servers in my intra net which are not exposed to internet and a SAP EP which is exposed to Internet.

Now without exposing these SAP servers I want to access those servers through my SAP EP, How can I do that.

For example.

I am showing a SAP Transaction iView in EP for a server which is not exposed to internet but my EP is exposed to internet. when I am not in my companies network I am not able to access this SAP Transation iView how can I solve this problem.

Thanks

Hi,

For not exposing the servers to internet but want to access tthough single portal, you may need reverse proxy.

Please check with your basis team regarding this.

The portal just launches iframes on the user's desktop for each iView. So, the usre needs to have connectivity to the backend app. A good way to do this is through SAP Web Dispatcher, which is a software proxy.

Hi Michael,

Can you please explain me how we can achieve this through SAP Web Dispatcher as I don't have much idea about it.

If you search SDN for "SAP Web Dispatcher" you will see that it can be installed to have its own hostname/portnumber which effectively hides the real hostname/portnumber for an ABAP ICM and/or a Java dispatcher.

Ninad,

1.Are all the servers which are in intranet and SAP Portal on the same domain.

2. If Yes, configure SSO between the portal and the various system in the intranet and you are good to go.

Good Luck!
