Sorting based on a custom dimension in AO 2.2

Here is a question i didn't yet find an answer to.

I have the Time dimension which is uniquely sorted based on a particular fiscal year format. However, i wanted the ability to sort based on calendar year format. Since each member of the time hierarchy is tied to a key (as per the fiscal year format), even if i "break hierarchies", it does not sort it in proper order.

So i thought, lets add a custom dimension where, i would manipulate the keys (using excel formulas) and then sort the whole table using this new custom dimension. However, there is no such sorting option available.

Please note: this sorting needs to be done at the AO level only (not below).

Is there any way to achieve this?

Utkarsha - I am not an Excel macro expert; but I know future versions of Analysis Office 2.4 will further support formulas

Thanks Tammy. Support formulas, as in if we add a custom column, will it be able to sort the entire table? Do you think you know about that?

You are right; this can't be done in Analysis Office

Can you go back to the BEx Query and reformat the time dimension there?

Thanks Tammy. The thing is a lot of other workbooks are dependent on this BW Query that do not need sorting this way.

Not even by using Excel macros?
