    Dear,

    Welcome on SDN.

Shelf life Expiration Date SLED takes from the material master record in Plant data/stor1 view.

As you have to active shelf life expiration date in the Transaction: OMJ5 or OMJE.

Then it will work for you.

    Regards,

    Dear Brahmarkar,

I have checked the Shelf life expiration period in Material master, even the the expiration date in the Batch for the Raw material. also i've checked OMJ5 or OMJE and it was already activated .

which is now a expired batch, with no stock . Some times the PO is picking this batch, which is wrong therefore we are manually changing ( Automatic batch settings is fine).

This happens some times only (may be monthly once). what more can you suggest to solve this.

    Thanks,

    N

      HI,

Check this out, it will give you an idea,

go to COr2-- Material list - materialBatch Management--Display batch determination

in the Batch determination screen, click on the Log,

It shows the Batch determination Process,

1.First it reads the Batch Stcoks,

      2.Batch determination without slection criteris

      3.Batch avaialbility check is done

      4.Batch sorting is done

If Batch stock is not there you should not get this Batch in the First place.

However if Stock is there, if it expired , then this batch will be selected as it is available in Unrestricted stcok and having Least SLED.(even though Expired).

If the Batch is expired you need to send that batch in to Restricted stock or scrap or Re-quality using Deadline monitoring MB5M

      Regards

      Ratan

    hi nagesh

batch determination as per shelf life expiry is taken from the batch master so please check batch master, and check classification view of that batch, what dates you can see there. because from that date only system determine the batch.

We are having the same issue when creating a process order. Though it seems that the sorting rules or selecting batches is working correctly, it is picking expired batches without warning or error being displayed. Has a solution been found for what may be causing this issue? Thanks.

    Hi

Please check the expiration is set fromt he date of purchase or plant storage time. Also check whether the purchase people have entered the remaining shelf life for the materials while receiving. If they enter the wrong date, then there is chance that system will pick expired batch.

    Please check and revert

    Krishna
