hi experts.

i use this function in a program,and the value of the parameter 'TASK' is TS90500026..that is ok...everything go well.

and now i copy TS90500031 from TS90500026, i didn't change anything,just copy it.i hope to use TASK TS90500031 instead of TS90500026 in the function ''SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW''.but the export parameter 'workitem_id' is initial while if i use TS90500026,then return a workitem_id.

i don't know what else i should do....i want to work it out why the function don't return me a workitem_id if i use TS90500031..

anyone who are familiar with this function plz help me..thanks a lot.

Hi,

IF I am not wrong there should be any object and event in the triggerring event field of the task.

Try to replicate the same oject and event present in the tasks triggerring tab. Activate the event - task linkage for the new task. so that task gets triggered successfully and gives the workitem id in the export parameters.

the correct task 'TS90500026' don't have trriger event either.....

i guess it is not the point of my question..

Hi,

is this a background task ? Give us some info on this 'TS90500031' .What's the BO & Method used etc.,

If this is a Dialog task, even if you have copied from 'TS90500026' , you need to do the Agent assignment etc.

Anyway, more info on the task would be useful in understanding your issue.

Please check the Method that the Task is executing. I think the WI_ID that is being returned from the Method is not used in Task. Please check whether you have task container element WI_ID.

Hi,

Have you activated TS90500031, even if you copy you have to activate the copied workflow.

If activating does not work try generating the workflow and re execute your FM.

Can you explain why are u using the ............FM SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW in application program.

TS90500031 is a single task, just need to be saved ,no activate button will be found in TCODE PFTC...
