Hi all,

Recently I installed Internet Explorer 8.0 and on running application I got the following message:

u201CSorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro!u201D

Please suggest us to overcome this problem. Currently I have EP 7.0 SP16 version.

Please try this option in order to solve your problem.

From the menu of IE 8.0 please select:

tools --> Compatibility View

add the website with compatibility issue.

This way, for that specific website IE will work in 7.0.

This is a workaround obviusly but it works.

Ciao,

Stefano Lilli

Are you running the WDP inside the Portal? We had issues with IE8 Beta on NW04 sp19, but the final version of IE8 is working fine without changes.

I think there is a portal setting for minimum version of what browsers are supported, I'll see if I can find it.

Have you located that setting for minimum IE for portal to support, would really like to see that

This sap note fixes the compatible browsers string so IE8 is allowed in Web dynpro.

We have implemented the suggested changes without problems with our customer.

Oh. I might add the we DID experience problems with IE8 Final, but by default IE8 uses compatibility view for Intranet sites so only external customers experienced it, not me on my development PC.

Hello,

we have the same problem with our SAP EP 6.0 on Netweaver 04 (SPS22). SPS24 has been delivered by SAP but will not solve this issue. SPS25 will solve but it is currently scheduled for 07.12.2009...to late!

I claimed SAP for this issue and escalated by means of both our internal IT structure and the one of our main partner Accenture.

I hope this will speed up some more smart workaround solutions by SAP.

Regards,

Each version of Web Dynpro supports a specific set of browser versions which you can find in the Product Availability Matrix (PAM).
