IDOC Texts show <(>&<)>

Hi all,

we are issuing Texts to IDOCs (e.g. BD10, issuing Material Master to MATMAS) where some texts come from SAPSCRIPT. As in SAP Script the ampersand symbol "&" is used to indicates variables it has to be escaped to "<(>&<)>".

Unfortunately the reverse escaping is not taking place in SAP standard, so it is still shown as "<(>&<)>" in the IDOC Texts. Is this a bug in SAP software or should I install a generic mapping in SAP PI to un-escape all occurrences of "<(>&<)>" to "&" ?

Maybe someone else phased into same problem already.
