CRM_UI navigation bar - make navigation bar width flexible, or enlarge navigation bar size

Dear community,

We experience that the CRM_UI navigation bar on the left side has a fixed/standard width. In opposite to other UI's it is not possible to enlarge the width, or to change the size using the mouse.

Unfortunately this causes some entries to be cut.

And we believe that a new modern UI should allow the user the flexibility to decide her/himself about the size and width of this bar.

However, we might be wrong.

1. Is our perception correct, that the CRM_UI navigation bar width is fixed, or is this a bug in our system?
2. Is this really the SAP standard?
3. Is there any possibility to influence this behavior?
4. What do you think, should this be variable and flexible?

Hi Bruce Li,

The notes are perfect. But they are applicable to component version WEBCUIF 748 only I guess. Whereas Solution Manager 7.2 SP 7 (Latest) has WEBCUIF version 747.

Hi,

The navigation bar resize feature requires at least the installation of this Note 2519012 or the implementation of WEBCUIF 748 SP09. This feature was delivered only from WEBCUIF 748.

With following note, you can set cursor to the right side of navigation bar collapse and change the width of navigation bar.

I have never had this request on customer side so I haven't tried this out but I do know that you can apply your own CSS stylesheets to CRM UI.

You might be able to insert the width attribute for the menu there then and manipulate the width in that fashion?
