Dear all,
We are using SAP R/3 ->4.7. We carryout inspeciton with lot origin 01. My user wants the following condition in the system.
1) when the inspection lot is created , user will entry the results for the characterisitic and if the sample for one character is rejected then system should automatically propose for the second sample.
I heard that this facility is availble in SAP . Can experts guide me how to achieve my requirement using dependent multiple and independent multiple samples.
Regards,
M.M
Dear Mr. Raj,
Thank you very much for your very useful input. I tried the same and was able to get the message through the system. when i tried to create the second sample and enter the same results i.e., 3 accepted and 2 rejected, then system valuates automatically -> can you explain about this functionality in detail.
Moreover can i adopt the same functionality using the independent multiple samples.
Expecting your reply.

M.M

HI,
As I have explained in above thread for automatic sample calculation we can process this upto 7 Samples based on the sample scheme.
Sample scheme is not mandatory as far as Independent samples are concern. In this case the valuation takes place for each samples.
Hope this will solve your problem.

Raj
HI Mr Raj,
I saw your communiction for Dependent and Indpendent Multiple sampels, I tried exactly what you mention for dependent multiple sampling, But I am uanble to get the automatic sampling plan screen when my MIC is rejected.
I doubt in following points
1. In MIC the RR should be summarised or single results.
2. IN MIC the Scope should be fixedscope or Not Fixed type.
3. Rest Sampling Scheme and Sampling Procedure I preapred exactly what u mentioned.
Please suggest what elase setting I miss regarding finding of Automatic screen for Multiple sampling when the MIC is rejected.
I need your responce and its very previous for me.
Please help

Dear Mr. Raj,
Thank you for the clarification. Can you kindly also clarify the following doubts.
1) Is this applicable for Quantitative inspection or only for Qualitative inspection.
2) Can you also explain how system functions in the above scenario i.e., when 2 numbers are rejected, system proposes the screen for multiple samples -> what is the logic behind this.
3) As mentioned by you if i have to maintain 7 samples what should be the sampling scheme design.
Hope you will help me.

Dear Mr. Raj,
Thank you for your input. I have mentioned below my sampling procedure details.
Sampling procedure is Test123
Sampling type :- Use sampling scheme
Valuation mode :- 100 Attributive inspection nonconf.units.
Inspection points:- (without inspection points)
Sampling scheme :- 41S
Determination rule :- 30
Dependent multiple samples -> active and valuation rule is 66
Inspection severity :- 4 (Normal inspection)
Details of sampling scheme 41S
Valuation parameters :- Attributive insp.
Sampling tables for :- inspection severities
Table as shown below.
Lot size ->>>>Sample->>>>>c1->>>>d1->>>>c2->>>>>d2->>>>>c3->>>>d3->>>>
1000->>>>>>>5->>>>>>>>>1->>>>>2->>>>>2->>>>>>3->>>>>>3->>>>>4
1000000->>>>10->>>>>>>>>1->>>>>2->>>>2->>>>>>>3->>>>>>3->>>>4
The above details are those pertaining to my available data. Can you kindly provide solution.

Dear Magesh,
I think your sample scheme needs some correction. You have defined following sample plan in sample scheme
Lot size ->>>>Sample->>>>>c1->>>>d1->>>>c2->>>>>d2->>>>>c3->>>>d3->>>>
1000->>>>>>>5->>>>>>>>>1->>>>>2->>>>>2->>>>>>3->>>>>>3->>>>>4
1000000->>>>10->>>>>>>>>1->>>>>2->>>>2->>>>>>>3->>>>>>3->>>>
When you define c1,d1 values are 1, 2 respectively then there is no point of maintening c2,d2, c3, d3 values,beacuse first case itself you have defined the accept and reject criteria.Means sample size is 5, if 1 sample is out of limit system will accept the MIC and 2Samples are out of limit It will reject the MIC automatically.
Try to define following sample scheme and Process RR
Lot size - Sample- c1 d1 c2 d2
1000 5 1 3 1 2
Reject 2 samples and when you try to valuate then system will propose one popup saying you cannot have an automatic valuation then click on the next sample plan. So this way you can enter result for second samples.
Waiting for your reply.

Raj
Dear all,
Thank you for your valuable input. As per my requirement i want system to automatically propose the second sample if the first results entry is rejected. Mr. Raj is suggesting about the manual activity of creating the second sample.
In this manual activity it is possible for the user to stay without entering the results for the second sample wherein physically he would have done the second sampling. This is the reason that i am asking for automatic proposal of the second sample.
Is there any way of achieving my requirement without any enhancement.

Hi,
You can make use of Multiple independent sample for automatic Second samples calculation.
Create Sample Prcedure by selecting Dependent multiple sample option and assign the same to MIC in Quality plan.Go to RR screen , select MIC and click on the details then enter values and you can see sample creation tab in left side of the RR screen, click on it then system will allow you to eneter values for second samples.
Please revert back .

Raj

In my point of view system will not automatically propose for the second sample.
But thru enhancement if the first sample is rejected you can develop a Error Message to display a message to verify the other sample's.
