Trying to set datasource location to an ODBC connection from OLE DB (ADO)

I have a few reports that I need to set datasource location to prepare for a web application. I've always worked with an ODBC connection and 6 reports I've come across use an OLE DB (ADO) connection. These reports were created by the customer. Is it possible for me to change the OLE DB (ADO) connection to an ODBC connection and if so what is involved?

Open the report up and Click on Database, Set Location, find ODBC in the list and connect using your DSN. Now select your DB and tables, varies so you may have just click on the OLE DB connection and the n DSN and click Update button or you may have to do this for each table also.

OLEDB is actual a better datasource to use because it doesn't require a ODBC connection to be created on every machine this report is to be ran from.

Wouldn't I need the customer's report to already be accessing an ODBC connection? I'm plenty confused here.

If anyone knows if or how this can be accomplished I'd still love to hear from you. For my immediate purposes the customer (who wasn't married to the OLE DB connection) changed their connection in the reports from the OLE DB to the ODBC and I was able to migrate the reports.
