Success in Analyzer, but error in WAD

Hi All,

I have created a BEx query on a Cube. Data is loaded in Cube. When i execute the Query in BEx Analyzer, the report is properly displayed.

Now i have created a WAD 3.x template using only the Generic Naviagation Block and Table web item; accessing the same BEx Query. Now when the WAD template is "executed in browser", the WAD template shows up but the table displays No Applicable Data Found..

Any idea what could be the possible reason for this discrepancy.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Arpita,

The filter criteria which you set in the Navigation Block might not satisfy the data to be shown in the table.Change the filter values, then it will show the data.

Also check whether you mapped the Data Provider(Query) properly with the design items inserted

Hi Murali,

Am not clear on which filter settings in the Gen Navigation block you are referring to. Can you elaborate.

Hi Arpita,

You have put a Navigation block and Table item in WAD and created a web template.

When you execute it,it will show the data in Navigation Block item as well as Table item. But in your case it's not showing the data in Table item.

So change the Navigation Block item's data,I mean drag and drop Characteristics and Keyfigures in Nav block.

Revert me if you still have issue.....

The InfoObjects are added in the Rows, Columns and Free Charateristics in the Query and this information is displayed successfully in the Navigational Block of the template.

The Table should now display the data from cube, as per the rows and columns set in Query.

But in the table am getting "No Applicable Data found".

The Navigation Block shows the Rows, Columns and Free Charateristics,so you can filter the values of the characteristics.

Eg:If you have an InfoObject "Distribution Channel" in Characteristics, right click that and change the filter critieria through the context menu options.

Let say,you are selecting "Internet" as a distribution channel in the filter where there is no master data available, then table will show No Applicable data found message.

When the filter criteria matches, the data will be shown in the table.

Or you can do the following.....

Since the data is shown sucessfully in BEx Analyzer,Open it in BEx Analyzer and go to Tools->BEx Web Analyzer. This will invoke web analyzer and show the data in web.
