Installation of SAPNWABAP701SR1_TRIAL stops at Running phase:Start instance

Hello,<br><br>

My specs are: Windows XP professional - 32 bit - SP3 - 3.5 GB RAM - 70 GB free harddisk space - jre1.6.0_07<br><br>

After overcoming several problems my installation of SAPNWABAP701SR1_TRIAL made it until:<br>

Step 4: Execute<br>

Running phase: Start instance<br>

The SAP NetWeaver SOFTWARE DELIVERY TOOL tries to start the instance but runs into an error:<br>

>An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR1 including Enhancement Package 1

> -SAP Application Server ABAP

> -MaxDB

> -Central System

> -Central System<br><br>

>ERROR 2009-05-06 22:46:36.859 sixxcstepexecute.cpp:950

How can I finish my installation/solve this error?

hi, this is the wrong log.

Have a close look into sapinstdevlog.

you can also try to start and stop the SAP services manually.

Windows services with SAP..., maxdb services (SAP... and Xserver - starts "kernel.exe") and then call SAPMMC and try to start and stop NSP.

You can also restart installation at any time. If step 4 aborts anything fundamental is wrong.

Hi Oliver,

I did a new installation after a clean XP installation under VMware workstation 5.5. This installation was successful at once.
