Change Material Number Length from 18 to 50 characters

Hi,

My requirment is finished product has code of 50 characters.

Is ther any possibility of increasing the material number from 18 to 50 characters.

Not advisable...

material code lenght comes under MARA table. If you create 'Z' or 'Y' table of 50 length it is very very very difficult to replace lenght on different screens. There are some thousands of screens where the material code lenght field appears. The space alloaction is fixed on every screen. So it is very complex to change this standard settings.
