    Hello,

You can give same storage category name for both production server and development server. You can link different content repositories specific to each server.

      Hello,

I am not aware whether you are using content server or SAP DB for storing your documents.

You will have to first define content repository in DMS node-> general data->settings for storage systems->maintain storage system.

In this node you can create new one if you are using content server and link content server to to this catagory. Take help of your basis consultant for this activity.

If you are not using content server, you can use DMS_C1 repository.

Next step will be maintain storage category.

DMS node-> general data->settings for storage systems->maintain storage category

Create new storage category and link above configured repository to it.

Hope this is useful to you.

      Regards,

      Milind

    Hi Meenakshi,

Yes you can give same storage category name for both production server and development server.

Following are the step to be followed during installation of content server

    1) Install content server with help of Basis team

    2) In transaction CSADMIN link R/3 system to the content server

    3) In transaction CSADMIN create repositories (name with your choice)

    4) In T code OAC0 link repository to the DMS

    5) Using T code OACT create storage categories in the repository.

Hence with same storage category name you can link particular repository.

    Thank you

    Regards,

    Seema P.
