Hello,

How do I find out whether the SAP installation is 32-bit or 64-bit from SAP itself, without having to log into OS level?

Thanks.

Hi,

Check the following link

It doesn't answer my question. All the posts require me to log into Windows.

I want to know, if I can find out the required info from SAP itself.

Hi Gautam,

Login to SAP,

Go to System menu --> Status --> then you can see Machine type in the Host Data column.

This Machine type will decide whether your system is 32 bit or 64 bit.

In my system the Machine type is ia64

Hi,

system->status check the machine type..check the platform id

Also check the sapnote Note 146289 - Parameter Recommendations for 64-Bit SAP Kernel

In this note you find the platform id & its corresponding Bit,whether 32 bit or 64 bit

Platform 32-bit 64-bit
