multiple ship-to-parties while creating sales order

dear friends,

when I am trying to create a order with va01. After entering a Sold-to-party and selecting sales area. I am getting a partner selection pop-up box. there are 2 entries there, If I select one of the partner, I am getting RED light. What does this mean ?? how can I get rid of this red lights.

IN Xd03, I am seeing 2 ship-to-parties. please advise.

Hello Madhu,

Going back to your original post I tried to replicate in my test system. What I see is when the pop-up with the ship to choices initially displays the first entry is checked --- which also happens to be the same # as the sold to ---and the light is green. Then when clicking that selection in the pop-up --I have have actually caused deselection -- the light goes red & by just continuing (i.e. not selecting again) I get the same warning messages you did.

So guessing it's a matter of making sure you actually do select whatever ship to applies - give it a try.

This red light is just due to imporper selection by clicking on ship to . When you get the red light you try to click / select again the same ship to.. and it should be green.

Madhu,

As suggested check whether that Ship to party is assigned to that sales area or not, Secondly Go to XD05, and enter ship to party number and check whether that ship to party is blocked or not.If blocked, remove the block and carrry on.

hello, friend.

please check in VD05 if there is a delivery block for either the Ship-to or the Sold-to. also re-check if the ship-to has been extended to the relevant sales area of the document.

Thanks for your replies, I have checked in VD05, this customer has NO Blocks.

This customer is also extended to the sales area.

So both checks are succesfully,

I wanted to explain scenario once again, so that it is clear.

I have a customer 7890, when I am trying to create a sales order, After entering VA01 and giving order type and giving Sold -to-party, it is asking me to select sales area. after selecting sales area, it is giving me a partner selection box which has 2 entries, which means both partners are extended to sales area. but when I select 7890 as SH (which is actually my SP also). it is giving me red lights on partner slection pop-up box, when I press cont, it is giving me a warning message that " selection not complete, Do you want to continue.

My doubt is ..why I am getting this message and Red lights on partner selection pop-up box. How can I get rid of this.

Dear Madhu

Are you sure that your ship to party and sold to party are same? Pls check. If they are not same then you may choose the other ship to party .

Otherwise if you want to get rid of these two ship to parties, then you may go to the ship to party's customer master and block it. then you go to the partner tab page in the customer master of sold to party and delete the row having different ship to party, and maintain ship to party same as sold to party and save.

then create the sales order and see
