i am logging into designer ,its asking me for 'System name'...what shoduld i give in there

Hi,

this should be the hostname/ip address of the machine the CMS server runs on. If you have installed BOBJ on a single machine then this should be the hostname/ip address of your BOBJ server.

PS: In fact the syntax is: <hostname or IP address>:<port>. eg: myhost.mydomain.com:6400 If you ommit the ":<port>" part your designer tries to connect to port 6400.
