Creation of Hierarchy in R/3 for BW

Hi Experts,

how to create a hierarchy in R/3 for BW.

As i said the hierarchies for every characteristic have a different transaction in R3...you must talk to your functional guys in order to create that....and they must define the structure....

Well i dont know most of this....i know that for 0MATERIAL is MCK1 for creation....and MCK2 for change and MCK3 for display....i recommedn to talk to your functional guy....or post a question in the apropiate forum of R3 module...

Hi....depends on what characteristic...for example for materials...theres a transaction for create hierarchies for materials......for cost centers....anothers ...and so.....you must talk to your functional in order to identify the transaction for create a hierarchy for your characteristic...

What characteristic do you want to create a hierarchy??

Hi,

Why don't you use standard datasources for hierarchy, there are few...

For GL Acount --> 0GL_ACCOUNT_T011_HIER

0MATERIAL --> 0MATERIAL_CDTH_CMHIER

0PROFIT_CTR --> 0PROFIT_CTR_0106_HIER

If you want to create on your own hierarchy, you can create in BW as well. Under Info Objects, right click on your infoobject and say create Hierarchy.

It is better to be in touch with functional guys for hierarchy creation in R/3.
