Attach a PDF (Scanned Document) to a Process Order

Hi,

Is there a way to attach a PDF file (scanned document) to a Process Order header? I tried to look at the document management config for this, but could not locate one. I also tried creating a new document type for Process Order, but not working.

The business requirement is that we get some hard copy documents from the floor containing critical information. They would like to scan this document and then attach it to the process order so that they can look at it later on whenever required for audit and other purposes by going to the process order.

Please advice how this can be done. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Swapnil

In COR2 you will find an icon upper left corner, where you can Create >> Create Attachment; you can display the document with the same icon >> Attachment List. The same functions are available in teh menu under System >> Services or similar.

Using PI Sheet you will find Process intructio to display a document (typically: Component Safety Data Sheet) for the process operator.

Dario,

Your suggestion for "Create" ==> "Create Attachment" worked as expected. Thanks for the solution.

Please can you tell me if there is any transaction/report that can display a list of documents attached to multiple Process Order? I am looking for a transaction/report similar to COID where user can look at all the process orders for a plant and see the link for the attachments. Otherwise it is very difficult to know what Process Order has attachment and which don't.

Hi,

If you need standard reporting functionality, you can use document management system where in you assign the process order in the object link.

If not, you can also create a custom report to list down documents attached usinf service for objects ( what Dario explained in earlier thread)

Sarvan,

Thanks for your response. Please can you guide me to what table does the service of the object info get's save into. I tried searching it but not able to locate one. I am ok with creating a custom report to display the link to the service object, but for that I would need to know from where to fetch the data.

I tried to use the document management for process order (creating new document type), but it is not working as we would have to create new Screen Numbers and other development to make this happen for the process order.
