Material with variant

Former Member

Dear gurus,

this is my scenario: I would like to buy through PO 4 different sizes of the same T-shirt from the same vendor.

I would like to use same material code for the 4 different sizes, can you help me understanding how to proceed?

I tried creating a KMAT material associated with a class Type 300 and 4 characteristics but when I put the material into PO I can't distinguish between sizes. Any suggestion?

Thank you in advance, warm regards,

Fuffo

Hi

Try it out in this way.

Any material type,

Create characteristics (size) and assigned to class.

The class u maintain it in Material master.

Then create PO.

1 st option :Use can active batch management and create batches with classifaction (diff sizes)

2 nd option :you can go for variant configuration. so under same material code you can create different variants with different sizes.

but if sizes are limited, it is better to create new material code for every new size. it would be easier compared to variant configuration

3 rd option:you can create materila giving description as paper,

and while ordering this in PO text you can mention the type of paper you want

MM01: create a material and in basic data 2 view mark the check box material is configurable and then save

Ct04: create chara.

Cl01:create class with class type 300 and assign the charac. to it

Cu41: create the profile using material code and assign the class to it

Dear Anjali,

I made all the steps indicated but in PO I have no explosion for sizes. I want to buy 10 st, 2 small, 2 medium, 2 large and 4 extralarge but I can order only 10 st without sizes. Are there any steps missing?

Thank tou in advance.
