Problem in determining alternative component group

Hi,

A header material X has two components i.e. A & B.

Component A & B are alternative of each other i.e. either it is item A or item B, whichever is available in the stock.

The alternative item group works well to meet this requirement.

My requirement is as follows:

whenever material A is used, in that case only material A is consumed

whereas when material B is used, additional material C is also required to be consumed.

We don't intend to create a BOM here with components B & C. Do we have a solution for this?

Hi,

In the BOM, Component A detail screen maintan the Discont.group as P1(any) and same value 'P1' has to be maintained as follw-Up group for B and C components in the Item detail screen of Components B& C.

Hi,

Please note A & B are the alternative materials & not that A (Discontinued) is being replaced by material B (Follow-up).

Can you now please elaborate how the maintained Discontinued data would work?

For this if u can maintain Different Storage Locations that is

One For A

And One For B&C
