Log Archive Failed via dbacockpit

Hi,

I've scheduled Oracle db log archive via dbacockpit. It failed at 1am, but it completed successfully later at 1pm as scheduled. So far, had 2 such occurences.

Any where to diagnose the intermittent error ? Please enlighten. TIA !

your server name is BURGER?

Is it trying to talk to server HOTDOG?

Hello Desmond,

check the system log (SM21) as adviced:

05.05.2009 01:03:46 External communication error at program start (see system log)

Additionally check the trace of the according workprocess (ST11), ABAP dumps (ST22) and the brarchive log (DB12) too.
