Validate input for bank account in IT0009 via ESS and ECC6.0

Using ECC6.0 and ESS via EP7. We would like to validate the data entry for the bank account field in IT0009 to ensure that an 8 digit number is entered.

Is this possible? Is there a user exit or BADI that can be used to check at the input stage?

Debbie we had a similar issue and we ended up doing it on R/3 as the same functionality need to exist in R/3 as well.

Try this table first to setup for the country you are working.

We had a restriction the way day is maintained by others in the system so we ended up customizing.

We customized in function module EXIT_SAPFP50M_002.
